Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through the art of dance. This vibrant role involves designing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and nurturing students' love for movement and self-expression. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a vital part in helping individuals develop their technical skills, boost confidence, and enjoy the transformative power of dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and creativity while making a meaningful impact on our diverse community. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, or other styles. Lead engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, artistic expression, and physical fitness. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment. Provide personalized tutoring and feedback to help students improve their skills and achieve their goals. Incorporate creative elements such as theater experience or photography to enhance performances and student projects. Organize rehearsals for performances or showcases, guiding students through choreography and stage presence. Maintain detailed lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports to track student development. Skills Strong background in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, or theater dance. Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different age groups including early childhood education and adult learners. Excellent teaching abilities with a focus on classroom management and behavior guidance. Proven ability to work with children, preschoolers, or students with special education needs; experience in childcare or preschool settings is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles related to movement and physical activity. Skills in photography or multimedia arts to support creative presentations or promotional materials. Additional expertise in sewing or costume design can be an asset for costume preparation or stage productions.
