Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through the art of dance. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, teach various dance styles, and foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and physical development. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, you will bring enthusiasm and expertise to every class, helping students achieve their personal best while cultivating a love for movement and performance. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating techniques such as ballet, theater dance, and other styles. Lead dynamic group classes and one-on-one tutoring sessions that motivate students and enhance their dancing abilities. Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Plan engaging lessons that incorporate elements of choreography, musicality, and performance skills while accommodating diverse learning needs. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth in technique, confidence, and stage presence. Organize performances or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their progress and celebrate their achievements. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or adult learners to discuss progress and set goals for ongoing development. Skills Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, or contemporary movement with classroom management expertise. Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups including early childhood education and preschool experience. Excellent communication skills for working with children, students with special needs, or adult learners in a supportive manner. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Ability to incorporate creative elements like photography or sewing into dance projects or costumes when relevant. Experience working within classroom settings that require patience, organization, and adaptability. Familiarity with theatrical production processes or culinary arts can be an added bonus for interdisciplinary programs. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.67 per hour
