Ballet Teacher Volume Performance Center Indianapolis, IN Job Details Contract $26.02 - $31.34 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Dance instruction Working with students Teaching experience with young children Training Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Ballet Instructor — Monday Evenings Volume Performance Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and encouraging ballet instructor to join our teaching team for the 2026-2027 season. Schedule Mondays from 6:00-8:15 p.m. September 2026 through July 2027 Classes meet weekly, except on studio holidays and scheduled closures Applicants must be available for the full Monday evening teaching block and able to commit to the entire season. Responsibilities Teach engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes to children Provide structured instruction in ballet technique, terminology, alignment, musicality, and performance quality Prepare organized lesson plans that support students' long-term technical development Create a positive classroom environment while maintaining clear expectations and appropriate discipline Consistently enforce the studio's weekly ballet dress code Begin and end classes on time Communicate professionally with studio leadership, students, and families Follow all studio policies, calendars, and safety procedures Track student progress and provide corrections in a supportive and constructive manner Qualifications Previous experience teaching ballet to children is required Strong knowledge of ballet technique and terminology Dependable, punctual, professional, and well-organized Able to manage a classroom while remaining encouraging and child-centered Comfortable working with dancers of different ages and ability levels Must be willing to consistently uphold studio expectations and dress-code policies Pointe teaching or performance experience is highly valued Dance degree, teaching certification, or professional performance experience is preferred but not required About Volume Performance Center Volume Performance Center is a family-centered dance studio committed to providing strong technical training in a positive, disciplined, and age-appropriate environment. $25-$28.01
