Job Description

LA Dance Academy is seeking an experienced Jazz Dance Instructor to join our growing team for the 2026-2027 dance season. We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable teacher who loves working with children and is passionate about developing strong technical dancers in a positive, encouraging environment. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Jazz teaching experience (required) Strong knowledge of jazz technique, progressions, across-the-floor combinations, turns, leaps, flexibility, and conditioning Experience teaching children and teens of varying skill levels Ability to create engaging lesson plans and age-appropriate choreography Reliable, professional, and punctual Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff Responsibilities Teach weekly Jazz classes using age-appropriate curriculum Help students develop proper technique, confidence, and artistry Choreograph recital routines Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment Arrive prepared and communicate effectively with studio staff Support LA Dance Academy's mission of providing exceptional dance education in a fun, encouraging atmosphere Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching lyrical and contemporary is a plus Competition choreography experience is a plus CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Why Join LA Dance Academy?
