Abilities Dance is centered on disrupting antiquated beliefs and promoting disability justice. Ourmunity engagement work consists of teaching adaptive dance education and lectures on disability more to increase equity. This role falls within our recurring dance education. We are looking for teachers to go on location to one or more sites and teach students within the given age ranges and time frames adaptive dance rooted in ballet, but can expand to other genres as consistent with the teacher's own practice.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Teach assigned classes consistent with the program curriculum Class preparation and consistentmunication with school and Abilities Dance staff Attend all faculty meetings, curriculum meetings, and professional development seminars as scheduled. Respond tomunications within two business days Flexibility to work with students of all ages. High level offort working with individuals and families with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds Commitment to building intersectional disability justice asset based educational practice Ability to work andmute within the Greater Boston area Comply with ouranization's current COVID protocols of masking in person Complete Goal Sheet Template given by Abilities Dance for each site Collect Demographic Survey information on student populations Perform all other duties appropriate to part-time faculty as requestedCURRENT AVAILABLE LOCATIONS
