Position Overview We're looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Ultimate Frisbee Instructor to lead exciting after-school classes for elementary and middle school students. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for sports and physical activity, and loves creating a positive team environment. No coaching certification is required—just a willingness to engage students, teach the fundamentals of Ultimate Frisbee, and make every class active, safe, and fun. The Ideal Candidate Has a passion for sports, fitness, and working with children. Enjoys teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership through play. Can create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Is energetic, patient, and dependable. Has experience teaching, coaching, leading youth programs, or working as a camp counselor. Can motivate students of varying skill levels and athletic abilities. Responsibilities Lead engaging Ultimate Frisbee classes using VAC Enrichment's curriculum. Teach the fundamentals of throwing, catching, cutting, offense, defense, and game strategy. Promote teamwork, communication, respect, and good sportsmanship. Ensure all activities are conducted safely and are appropriate for students' ages and abilities. Set up and organize equipment before each class. Encourage participation and help every student build confidence and skills. Communicate professionally with school staff and VAC Enrichment administrators. Attend occasional meetings or trainings as needed. Qualifications Experience working with children in a classroom, camp, coaching, or recreation setting preferred. Knowledge of Ultimate Frisbee or experience participating in team sports is preferred. Strong communication and classroom/group management skills. Ability to lead active outdoor or gym-based activities. Reliable transportation to assigned school locations. Ability to pass all required background checks. Willingness to follow all school and VAC Enrichment policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching youth sports. First Aid and CPR Certification. Physical Education, Recreation, Education, or related background. Leadership experience in athletics, clubs, or community organizations. Schedule Part-time Monday-Friday Classes typically take place after school (specific days and times vary by school location). Additional substitute opportunities may be available.
