Dance Club Summary:
The objective of the club is to provide a sense of belongingness to their members, building their level of self-confidence, increasing their physical activity and flexibility, encouraging creativity, and giving them the opportunity to perform.
Responsibilities:
Design lesson plans that blend physical activity with the use of various types of music. Ensure lessons strengthen social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills through dance. Work to strengthen a sense of confidence in themselves. Use lessons/dance moves to create a choreographed dance to be performed for parents, classmates and staff.
Qualifications:
Current employee of New Bedford Public Schools (Unit A) preferred. Knowledge of Taylor School and community Strong communication skills and desire to build positive relationships with students and families.
