As part of an exciting Fine and Performing Arts Expansion, New Bedford Public Schools is excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and passionate Dance Teacher! Dance plays a vital role in inspiring creativity, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging among our students. Responsibilities:
Be a creative and innovative educator that demonstrates mastery of and enthusiasm for the content and the pedagogy it requires Possess a demonstrated the ability to teach dance using a variety of dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level Educators should have positive classroom management techniques, be responsive to student diversity, enjoy working in an urban setting and work well with colleagues, administrators and parents. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with colleagues, administrators and parents
Qualifications:
Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. A demonstrated belief that each and every student can achieve at high levels. A demonstrated dedication to lifelong learning, reflection, and continued personal and professional growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
