Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of movement and self-expression through dance. In this dynamic role, you will develop engaging curricula, lead classes across various dance styles, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. Your expertise will help students of diverse backgrounds enhance their technical skills, artistic expression, and appreciation for the performing arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds and cultivate a lifelong love of dance. Duties Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of choreography, musicality, and performance techniques Lead engaging dance classes that promote technical proficiency, artistic expression, and physical fitness while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and consistent discipline strategies Provide individualized feedback to students to support their growth in dance technique, creativity, and stage presence Collaborate with colleagues on special performances, recitals, or youth programs to showcase student progress and foster community engagement Incorporate various arts elements such as theater experience, visual arts, or musical instruments into lessons to enrich the learning experience Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, and student assessments Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, or hip-hop with a focus on choreography and dance instruction Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse age groups including early childhood education or preschool experience Demonstrated ability to work with children and youth programs while managing classroom behavior effectively Knowledge of classroom management techniques combined with childhood development principles Experience working with students on visual & performing arts projects or teaching arts in a school or community setting Skills in teaching instrumental performance or music-related activities are a plus but not required Familiarity with theater production processes, photography related to performances, or sewing for costume design is advantageous Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment Additional experience in childcare, special education, culinary arts (for creative projects), or sewing can enhance your effectiveness as a versatile instructor Join us as a Dance Teacher to ignite passion for movement while nurturing creativity and confidence in every student. Pay:
