Dance Instructor

Rozez Dance Studio is seeking a specialized Jazz Funk Instructor to lead our teen programs in Detroit. We are looking for an expert in the genre—someone who brings high energy, sharp musicality, and a "commercial" performance style to every class.

Core Instruction:

Lead weekly Jazz Funk classes focusing on lines, performance, and rhythmic execution.

Choreography:

Create original, high-impact routines for teen students (Ages 12-18).

Performance Prep:

Prepare students for studio showcases and professional-quality video shoots.

Engagement:

Motivate and challenge young dancers to push their artistic boundaries in a positive, high-energy environment.

Requirements:

Jazz Funk Specialist:

Mastery of Jazz Funk as a distinct style (this is not a traditional Jazz or Hip-Hop position).

Teaching Experience:

6months of experience working with youth/teenagers in a studio setting.

Performance Mindset:

Ability to teach "dancing for the camera" and stage presence. Portfolio (Required): A link to a Dance Reel or Instagram portfolio showcasing your Jazz Funk choreography and performance style.
