In this role, you will develop engaging curricula, lead energetic classes, and foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and technical skill. Instructors must be available Tuesday and Friday evenings Duties Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and other dance styles Lead engaging, energetic dance classes that promote proper technique, coordination, and artistic expression Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth in dance skills and confidence Incorporate choreography into performances and recitals, encouraging creativity and teamwork among students Collaborate with other arts instructors to integrate dance with visual arts, music, theater, and other creative disciplines Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and progress reports for each student Requirements Proven experience in dance instruction across multiple styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary or hip-hop Strong background in choreography and lesson planning tailored for diverse age groups Experience working with children and youth programs with an understanding of childhood development and behavior management Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster positive learning environments Ability to teach visual & performing arts with a focus on dance technique and performance skills Familiarity with musical instruments or musical accompaniment for dance classes is a plus Prior experience in theater or performing arts enhances instructional versatility Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate with colleagues Certification or training in early childhood education or special education is advantageous Passion for arts education combined with a creative approach to teaching dance Join us as a Dance Instructor and become part of a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing artistic talent!
