  • FLIGHT (Skyview Middle School & John Glenn Middle School)
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:00-5:00pm, plus 1 additional hour of prep time daily
  • flexible, can be scheduled immediately before or after 2:00-5:00pm (20 hrs/wk)
Start Date:

End Date:

Pay:
Stipend ranging between $6000
  • 9000.
Stipend amount will be based on qualifications.
Summary:
The Youth Development Club Instructor will host a club where they will lead engaging and supportive activities for middle school students focused on social-emotional growth, relationship building, self-awareness, and positive decision-making. This role includes creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can build confidence, practice communication skills, manage emotions, and develop healthy peer connections through games, discussions, team-building activities, and creative projects.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday/Wednesday
  • Skyview Middle School 2pm-4pm (Club instruction)
  • two separate one hour sessions. 4pm-5pm (academic support & student check-in during after hours) Plus 1 additional hour of prep time daily
  • flexible, can be scheduled immediately before or after Tuesday/Thursday
  • John Glenn Middle School 2pm-4pm (Club instruction)
  • two separate one hour sessions. 4pm-5pm (academic support & student check-in during after hours) Plus 1 additional hour of prep time daily

Friday:
Alternate sites weekly 2-4pm (student check and connect) 4-5pm (academic support & student check-in during after hours) Plus 1 additional hour of prep time daily

Responsibilities:
Take the lead in the development and implementation of an Enrichment Club for middle school students. Create lesson plans for each club session that will help students learn more about the club's focus and give ample time for hands-on practice as well Communicate and maintain good working relationships with school personnel, the FLIGHT Site Manager, staff, parents, students, and the public Create a fun and educational atmosphere within your club that focuses on respect, open-mindedness and support for trying new things Assist in maintaining program records Complete light clean-up including wiping down tables and sweeping/mopping small areas when necessary Understand and follow all District and FLIGHT policies and guidelines Participate in staff meetings and trainings as required Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree Prior experience in school age care or education
