Kinderdance of South Charlotte is seeking an energetic, dependable, and passionate Dance Instructor to inspire children ages 2-12 through movement, dance, fitness, and creative expression. The Instructor will learn and deliver the Kinderdance curriculum while adding their own personality and teaching style to create engaging, positive, and age-appropriate classes. The ability to confidently prepare, teach, and manage energetic classrooms is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Learn and perfect the provided Kinderdance curriculum, routines, and lesson plans while adding an appropriate personal teaching style. Teach age-appropriate classes incorporating ballet, tap, creative movement, gymnastics, and fitness . Lead engaging classes that develop coordination, rhythm, technique, confidence, and creativity. Maintain a safe, positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Effectively manage classroom behavior and adapt instruction to individual student needs. Attend biweekly instructor meetings to prepare for upcoming classes and review weekly lesson plans. Arrive prepared to confidently deliver each scheduled lesson. Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive teaching and age-appropriate classroom practices. Maintain accurate attendance, lesson, and student progress records. Communicate professionally with Kinderdance management, schools, parents, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience teaching dance, movement, gymnastics, or fitness to children ages 2-12 is highly preferred Experience with ballet, tap, creative movement, or gymnastics preferred but not required . Strong classroom management and communication skills. At least 1 year of childcare or experience working with young children required. Preschool or early childhood education experience preferred. Understanding of childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Experience working with children with special needs or adapting instruction to individual learning needs is a plus. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required . Ability to travel to daycares and elementary schools within approximately a 5-mile radius of South Charlotte . Commitment to teaching year-round programs and season based programs ,and growing with the organization preferred.

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
