Group Fitness Instructor:
All mandatory YMCA of Greater Charlotte trainings must be completed by the required date Proof of current ACE Group Exercise Certification or AEA Water Fitness Certification (or equivalent) or Specialty Trademarked Certification. 3 years (300 hours) or more of teaching experience Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals Excellent oral and written communication skills Reliable, self-motivated and self-starter Outgoing personality with a natural ability to build positive and trusting relationships Strong customer service skills and the ability to promote programs and services Enthusiastic and supportive attitude Demonstrates a professional demeanor and genuinely committed to providing quality service Willing to work flexible work hours based on center's need Must be technologically proficient and adaptable. All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.Preferred Qualifications Strong communication skills:

Ability to accept constructive criticism Desire to expand your skillset Ability to build your personal fitness brand Ability to teach basic group training formats with an interest in expanding area(s) of expertise Working Conditions Ability to teach classes at a variety of days/times including nights and weekends on Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds in Ability to squat, lunge, rotate and get up off the Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate verbally and non-ability to spot form errors in a group setting and properly cue form corrections. If selected, candidates will participate in Les Mills certification and training events on the following dates: November 15, 2025: Masterclass (Strength Development, GRIT, SPRINT) December 13-14, 2025: Strength Development Initial Training January 24-25, 2026: SPRINT Initial Training February 21-22, 2026: GRIT Initial Training Participation in the certification training is required to begin teaching.Similar remote jobs
