About Us:
At Ignite Dance Productions, we believe in nurturing a love for dance and theater while fostering creativity and self-expression in our students. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment where dancers of all ages and skill levels can thrive. Our goal is to use dance and theater to teach valuable life skills that serve our students beyond the classroom and stage. Reliable transportation is a must! We are looking for someone regularly available Monday- Friday 2:30-6PM . Additional daytime opportunities available for the right candidate.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be kind, positive, adaptable, fun, energetic, loving, and deeply passionate about teaching and the arts. They will inspire our students to reach their full potential while instilling a love for dance and/or theater that extends beyond the studio.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate dance classes in various styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theater and hip-hop. Create lesson plans that incorporate technique, choreography, and creative expression. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to support their growth and development. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with different learning styles and abilities. Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff to plan performances and other events. Stay informed about current trends and developments in the field of dance education.
Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching dance to students of all ages and skill levels. Reliable transportation Strong knowledge and proficiency in multiple dance styles. MUST be comfortable teaching dance and/or theatre classes! Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to connect with students and create a supportive learning environment. Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching and the arts. Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of diverse students. Certification/ continuing education in dance, theater or relevant field is preferred. CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain certification) Willingness to complete NC and/or SC background checks to work in schools and childcare facilities
