  • Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and versatile Ballet Instructor who can teach across all levels—from our youngest budding ballerinas to our advanced dancers.
This role is ideal for someone who values both technical excellence and the human side of teaching: connection, encouragement, structure, and long-term development. Responsibilities Lesson Planning & Instruction Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the studio curriculum Teach ballet technique, choreography, and performance skills to students of varying ages and levels (early childhood through advanced) Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles Classroom Management & Environment Maintain a positive, disciplined, and productive classroom environment Ensure student safety during all classes, rehearsals, and performances Provide clear, constructive feedback and encouragement to support dancer confidence and growth Performance Preparation Choreograph and stage dances for recitals, performances, competitions, and studio showcases Organize and lead rehearsals to ensure students are performance-ready Assist with costume selection and stage preparation as needed Student Assessment & Development Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents Identify areas for growth and support individualized development goals Encourage participation in auditions, workshops, and additional training opportunities Professional & Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and studio leadership Collaborate with faculty to share best practices and support studio programming Stay current with trends in dance education through continued professional development Teach ballet technique, choreography, and performance skills to students of varying ages and levels (early childhood through advanced) Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles Skills Proven experience as a dance instructor and/or professional dancer Strong technical training in ballet and knowledge of multiple dance styles (preferred) Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students of all ages Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Choreography and performance preparation experience Teaching certification or degree in dance (preferred but not required)
