In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging dance classes, and foster a love for movement and performance. Your expertise will help students build technical skills, confidence, and artistic expression while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers and artists. Duties Teach engaging ballet classes tailored to various age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of choreography, technique, and performance skills Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students to improve their ballet skills while ensuring safety and proper technique Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a respectful, disciplined, yet fun atmosphere that encourages creativity and growth Assess student progress regularly through demonstrations, performances, and feedback sessions to support individual development Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and progress reports for all students Choreograph recital dances for each class and participate in Dress Rehearsal and Recital production. Skills Strong background in ballet with experience in choreography and dance instruction Excellent classroom management skills with experience working with children and youth programs Knowledge of teaching arts broadly—visual arts, performing arts, music—and integrating these into dance education Ability to plan lessons effectively while incorporating creative arts elements such as photography or sewing into dance projects Strong communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative environment Join us in inspiring young dancers through energetic teaching and creative expression!
