Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Able to coach elementary aged cheer & dance beginner curriculum
- Plan and lead cheerleading practices and dance training sessions
- Teach cheerleading techniques, routines, cheers & chants
- Provide guidance and support to cheerleaders during performances
- Develop and implement practice drills and conditioning exercises
- Create choreography for routines and performances
- Ensure the safety of cheerleaders by enforcing proper techniques
- Monitor and assess the progress of individual cheerleaders
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate team activities, subbing when needed.
Skills:
- Strong background in cheerleading and/or dance
- Experience working with children of elementary age
- Knowledge of cheerleading techniques, routines, and stunts
- Ability to effectively communicate instructions and provide feedback to cheerleaders
- Excellent organizational skills to plan practices and coordinate team activities
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire cheerleaders
- Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline during practices and performances
