About Us:
Studio G Performing Arts Center is a dynamic and growing dance studio dedicated to developing strong, versatile, and confident dancers. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, disciplined, and inspiring environment for students of all ages and levels.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Dance Instructor specializing in teaching Technique, Jumps, Turns, and Kicks to join our faculty. This role focuses on strengthening dancers' technical foundation, improving execution, and building performance confidence.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach structured technique classes with a focus on jumps, turns, and kicks
  • Develop lesson plans for competition dancers
  • Correct alignment, flexibility, strength, and execution of skills
  • Prepare dancers for performances, competitions, and evaluations
  • Maintain a positive, motivating, and professional classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with other instructors and studio leadership
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in dance technique (jazz, ballet, or similar styles preferred)
  • Proven experience teaching jumps, turns, and technical conditioning
  • Previous teaching experience with children and teens (ages 6-18 preferred)
  • Ability to break down technique clearly and safely
  • High energy, reliability, and strong classroom management skills
  • Competition and/or performance experience is a plus
  • Training/familiarity with the Godfrey Method is a plus How to
