Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance and creative movement. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, develop innovative curricula, and foster a positive environment that encourages artistic expression and physical development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students build confidence, improve their technique, and discover the joy of dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to youth and adult arts education programs, promoting creativity, discipline, and teamwork. Duties Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups, incorporating elements of ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, or other dance styles Lead energetic and motivating dance classes that emphasize proper technique, choreography, musicality, and stage presence Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students Assist in developing choreography for performances, recitals, or showcases that highlight students' progress and artistic growth Collaborate with other dance teachers to establish syllabi and ideas Provide individualized feedback to students to support their development in dance skills and performance confidence Maintain organized lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports in accordance with program standards Experience Proven experience teaching dance instruction across diverse age groups and skill levels Strong background in choreography and performance in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary or hip-hop Experience working with children and youth programs in educational or community settings Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education or preschool-aged children is highly desirable Familiarity with classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement during lessons Experience teaching visual & performing arts or related creative arts disciplines such as theater or musical instruments is a plus Join us as a Dance Instructor and ignite passion for movement while nurturing creativity!
