Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Instructor for a "Jumps, Leaps, and Turns" class to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance and creative movement. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups, emphasizing technique, choreography, and performance skills. Lead energetic dance classes that incorporate different styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, or cultural dance forms. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and fostering a respectful environment for all students. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate visual arts, performing arts, music integration, and creative expression to enhance overall learning experiences. Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and motivate them to achieve their personal best in dance and performance. Coordinate performances, showcases, or recitals that showcase student talents and celebrate their achievements. Maintain safety standards during classes by ensuring proper use of equipment and creating an inclusive environment for children. Skills Proven experience in teaching dance instruction across multiple styles such as ballet, Jazz, Contemporary. Strong background in curriculum development tailored to diverse age groups including early childhood education and youth programs. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage students through behavior management techniques. Experience working with children or adults in educational settings with a focus on creative arts instruction. Knowledge of choreography techniques and ability to teach dance routines effectively. Familiarity with teaching visual & performing arts integrated with music or theater components. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate musical elements relevant to dance instruction. Experience in theater production or performance arts enhances instructional versatility. Skills in photography or videography for documenting student progress or performances are a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with patience and adaptability to meet individual learning needs.
