Seeking instructors for weekday mornings and daytime availability, weekend availability, and afternoon/evening availability. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate ballet, theater, and other dance styles to promote physical activity and artistic expression. Lead energetic dance classes for children of various ages, ensuring activities are fun, safe, and inclusive. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful environment. Plan engaging lesson plans that align with childhood development principles and incorporate elements of early childhood education. Support children's emotional and social growth through encouraging participation, teamwork, and self-confidence. Incorporate creative activities such as photography or sewing projects related to costume design or choreography when appropriate. Maintain detailed records of class attendance, progress notes, and individual student needs to tailor instruction effectively. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings is required. Demonstrated expertise in teaching dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop with a focus on early childhood education or preschool experience. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for young learners. Experience in working with children with special needs or in inclusive education environments is a plus. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early childhood education standards. Additional skills in photography, sewing, culinary arts (for themed activities), or childcare can enhance your ability to create enriching class experiences. Passion for fostering creativity through arts like theater or dancing while supporting the holistic growth of each child.
