Job Description

Metro Dance Academy is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Dance Instructor to join our team. Classes include a variety of styles and combo-based instruction (such as ballet/tap, jazz/hip-hop, creative movement, and tap/jazz), with an emphasis on fun, confidence-building, and foundational skills. This position is ideal for someone who truly loves working with young children and understands early childhood development. We are looking for a versatile instructor who has a passion for teaching our youngest dancers, with the possibility of also teaching older ages. What You'll Be Doing? Teach weekly classes for a variety of dance styles, ages and levels in a nurturing, structured environment. Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that introduce multiple dance styles. Use creative games, imagery, and music to keep young dancers focused and excited. Foster confidence, coordination, listening skills, and classroom independence. Choreograph age-appropriate routines for any level for recitals and showcases. Communicate clearly and positively with students, parents, and studio staff. Maintain a safe, patient, and encouraging classroom atmosphere. What It Takes to Shine Previous experience teaching dancers of all ages High energy, patience, creativity, and strong classroom management skills. Ability to teach or introduce multiple styles in combo-format classes. Dependable, positive, and a supportive team player.
