Nail Technology Instructor

Nail Instructor Job Summary:

New York State Licensed Beauty School in Bay Shore, NY is seeking a licensed Nail Technician or Cosmetologist interested in teaching Nail Care to beginner students. This is a part-time hybrid position. Monday-Thursday (5:30 pm-9:30 pm).

Nail Instructor Responsibilities:

Teachers must use the whiteboard and other visual aids whenever the lesson calls for their use. All teachers are responsible for keeping their assigned rooms clean and sanitized. Teachers must be familiar with schedule lessons "Prior to entering class. " Teachers must report progress and grades for each student after the completion of each lesson. All teachers are required to participate in workshops and seminars at a minimum of 12 hours per year including 4 hours of teaching methodology to ensure their continuous education. All new instructors are required to take N.Y.S. Teacher Training Course, consisting of 30 hours of instruction per class.

Nail Instructor Qualifications:

Qualifications include a valid NY State Nail Technology License. Minimum of 3-year experience working as a Nail Tech. HS Diploma or GED. An enthusiastic attitude with good communication skills Provide students with fun, exciting demonstrations to teach practical skills. Nail Tech must have at least 3 years of experience in working with different types of products. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the school's mission and educational objectives and strive to attain them at all times. Spanish speaking a plus, but not necessary. No teaching experience is necessary. We will train with pay. Must be reliable.
