  • adults aerial skills on the aerial sling or aerial silk.
Our studio has a set curriculum of leveled skills that this new teacher needs
Description of Position:
This position is appropriate for aerial dance teachers who are certified or trained to teach on an aerial apparatus. No matter your experience level, you will be trained on the Aerial Joy curriculum once you are hired. We are looking for an individual who is certified and/or willing to be trained to teach various levels on silks, sling, lyra, and/or trapeze.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow the weekly lesson plan for a class for students of various age groups and skill levels
  • Teach proper techniques, including body alignment, posture, and movement
  • Choreograph routines for performances
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate performances and events
  • Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques
Requirements:
  • Certified or Trained aerial teacher
  • Proficiency in one or more apparutuses
  • Able to communicate with studio cordinator within 24 hrs so they can communicate with parents effectively
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and order during classes
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
  • Passion for working with children and a desire to inspire their love for dance
  • Certification in aerial silk and/or sling or other apparautus
  • First Aid and CPR certified currently or willing to become certified
