Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Ballroom Dance Instructor to inspire students teen through adult to discover the joy of dance. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, develop creative curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and artistic expression. Your enthusiasm for dance and dedication to teaching will help students unlock their potential while cultivating a love for movement and performance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in ballroom dancing and arts education with a vibrant community. Responsibilities Design and implement dynamic ballroom dance curricula tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced students Foster an environment of connection and community Lead engaging group and individual dance classes, ensuring clear instruction in techniques, posture, rhythm, and choreography Manage classroom environments effectively, promoting respectful behavior and active participation among students of all ages Develop creative choreography for performances, competitions, or recitals that showcase students' progress and artistic talents embrace an atmosphere of fun! Teach professionalism, on stage and off stage. What is expected of a dancer an audition? How does a dancer prepare? How do dancers work together? What are some unspoken expectations? Collaborate with other arts educators on youth programs, theater productions, or special events to integrate dance into broader arts initiatives Experience Proven experience teaching ballroom dance or related performing arts in a classroom or workshop setting background in choreography, dance instruction, and curriculum development for diverse age groups Experience working with children, teenagers, or adults in educational or recreational environments Knowledge of visual & performing arts education principles, including theater experience and stage performance skills Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior and foster positive childhood development through arts education Additional skills in photography, sewing, ballet, cooking, education are considered a plus but are not required Join us as a Ballroom Dance Instructor and bring your passion for dance to life by inspiring others through movement!
