Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Beginner Ballroom Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of dance. As a beginner instructor, you will play a vital part in nurturing a love for dance while providing clear guidance and support to help students progress comfortably at their own pace. Responsibilities Lead engaging beginner-level ballroom dance classes, focusing on basic steps, posture, rhythm, and partner work Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote creativity and enjoyment in dance learning Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and build confidence in their dancing abilities Incorporate elements of choreography, musicality, and performance into lessons to enhance student engagement Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events or performances that showcase student progress Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate regularly with parents or guardians when working with children Qualifications Experience working with children or youth programs is highly preferred, especially in arts or performing arts settings Knowledge of ballroom dance styles such as waltz, foxtrot, tango, or swing is essential; certification or training in dance instruction is a plus Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Background in teaching visual & performing arts, choreography, or dance instruction is desirable Ability to develop curriculum tailored to beginner levels while encouraging creativity and self-expression Experience with teaching music or musical instruments can be beneficial for integrating rhythm and timing into lessons Passion for arts education with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse learners Join us in inspiring the next generation of dancers!
