Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Senior Ballroom Dance Instructor to lead our dance program with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that include technique, choreography, and performance skills tailored to various age groups and skill levels Lead engaging ballroom dance classes, ensuring clear instruction on posture, timing, partner work, and musicality Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning environment for students of all ages Choreograph routines for performances and competitions that showcase students' talents and progress Provide individualized feedback and coaching to help students improve their dance skills and confidence Incorporate elements of theater, music, and visual arts into dance instruction to enrich the learning experience Collaborate with other instructors to design special workshops or youth programs focused on creative arts instruction, early childhood education, or special education needs Qualifications Extensive experience in teaching ballroom dance with a strong background in choreography and dance instruction Proven ability to develop engaging curriculum plans for diverse age groups, including children, teens, and adults Experience working with children and managing classroom dynamics effectively Knowledge of visual & performing arts education methods and experience teaching arts in a group setting Skills in choreography, musical instruments (preferred), theater arts, and performance coaching Familiarity with teaching instrumental performance or music-related activities is a plus Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of varying skill levels Certification or training in special education or behavior management is beneficial but not required Join us as a Senior Ballroom Dance Instructor and become a vital part of our vibrant community dedicated to fostering creativity through dance!
