Job Description
TKS Nashville School Coach - Job Description This highly rewarding position requires no prior chess knowledge. You do need to be willing to learn. I have great chess players with whom you will be partnered while you improve at chess. I need you to help manage classrooms, supervise and safeguard kids, and have fun. Retired Teachers, Not-retired teachers, Education Majors, After-Care Workers, Entertainers, Summer Camp Workers and Counselors, Sports Coaches... right up your alley. You will improve at chess, and you'll have the basics down in no time. "But I don't think I can learn to play chess..." We teach Preschoolers to play. If you're literally unable to learn the rules of a game we teach 4 year-olds, then no... you should not apply. Otherwise, if you're exceptionally reliable, professional, friendly, engaging, fun, and enjoy working with kids, then you should apply. This job is awesome. And with a little effort you'll learn to play chess well (if you don't already). You're unlikely to become a Grand Master, but who knows... I'm unlikely to join the PGA tour but that doesn't keep me from having fun on the golf course.
