Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part-Time Cheer/Dance Instructor to inspire and motivate children and youth through dynamic cheerleading and dance classes. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to foster teamwork, boost confidence, and promote physical activity in a fun, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for sports, experience working with children, and a vibrant personality that energizes participants. Responsibilities Lead engaging cheerleading and dance sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels Develop age-appropriate routines that emphasize teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship Teach fundamental cheerleading and dance techniques, including jumps, stunts, formations, and choreography Foster a positive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including proper use of equipment and spotting techniques Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about class progress and upcoming events Maintain a clean, organized space for classes and ensure equipment is in good condition Skills Experience working with children in a sports or recreational setting 2 -3 years of knowledge and experience in ballet, cheer, and tumbling classes ages 3-15 or related physical activities Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction in gymnastics is a plus Excellent communication skills to motivate students and engage with parents Ability to demonstrate cheer, ballet and tumbling skills including jumps, stunts, tumbling, and choreography Leadership qualities with experience managing group activities and behavior management techniques Familiarity with health club or gym environments is advantageous Passion for promoting physical activity and team spirit among youth Ability to lift equipment and spot children. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
