Role summary:

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and overseeing refrigeration units. The position requires coordinating field teams, mentoring technicians, and supporting critical business operations through timely response and effective resource management. The Senior Technician also contributes to process improvements, vendor coordination, and training initiatives, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with organizational goals.

About the team:

The team ensures seamless facility operations by performing preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems. They conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs while following safety and environmental standards. Collaborating with suppliers and contractors, the team continuously improves maintenance processes and integrates innovative tools to optimize system performance. Their commitment supports operational excellence and maintains quality standards, fostering a reliable and well-maintained environment that upholds safety and functionality for all stakeholders. What you'll do: Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units. Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment. Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime. Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes. Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development. Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet operational priorities. Participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs and incident resolution. What you'll bring: Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems in commercial or industrial settings. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems. Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and HVAC/R codes. Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and technical guidance. Proficiency in managing preventive maintenance programs and maintaining detailed work documentation. Experience coordinating service calls, parts inventory, and vendor relationships. Capability to respond promptly during on-call rotations and support critical business needs. Walmart. The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00

•The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman. 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years' Walmart store experience. Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Commercial driving record with no convictions for

DUI, DWI, OUI

within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. Preferred Qualifications...
