Job Description
Dance Instructor B3 Dance is a performance-focused dance studio dedicated to empowering dancers to be Brave, Bold, and Beautiful—not only on stage, but in life. We foster an environment where students explore artistic expression and develop both technical skill and confidence through meaningful performance experiences. Our studio serves dancers ages 2 through adult, from recreational to pre-professional levels. Position Overview We're looking for a passionate and skilled Ballroom Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative educator who shares our vision of nurturing well-rounded artists through strong technical training and performance-centered education. You will be responsible for teaching engaging dance classes and helping to prepare students for meaningful performance opportunities. Key Responsibilities Teach engaging ballroom dance classes with a focus on core styles (e.g., American Smooth/Rhythm, International Standard/Latin, and Social Ballroom) across various age groups and skill levels. Choreograph couples, solo, and group routines for seasonal showcases, recitals, and special performance events. Instruct on foundational partnering mechanics , including lead and follow dynamics, frame, posture, alignment, and musicality. Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that aligns with our mission. Provide constructive feedback to help students progress in their floor craft, technique, and artistic confidence. Communicate effectively with adult students, parents of youth dancers, and fellow faculty. Actively participate in studio events, showcases, and social dances. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in ballroom dance instruction (youth and/or adult). Strong performance or competitive background with compelling stage presence and artistry. Solid technical foundation in recognized ballroom syllabi (e.g., Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, or Latin) with demonstrated command of both lead and follow roles. Ability to teach social styles (e.g., Salsa, Bachata, Swing, Argentine Tango) is a major plus. Demonstrated ability to teach foundational technique while fostering creativity and personal connection.
