Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. Genres include Ballet, Tap, and Hip-Hop. The ideal candidate will lead engaging dance classes, foster creativity, and inspire students of all ages. This role involves designing and delivering instruction in various dance styles while incorporating elements of theater and visual & performing arts. The Dance Instructor will work closely with students to develop their skills, confidence, and appreciation for the arts in a supportive and energetic environment. Time required is weekdays anytime between 4:30-6:00pm. You can choose to teach once a week or multiple days. Pay range is based on resume and experience. We are seeking someone to start working asap. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Incorporate theatrical elements and visual arts components into dance instruction to enhance students' artistic development. Work with children, creating a positive and encouraging environment that promotes learning and enjoyment. Demonstrate various dance techniques and styles, ensuring proper form and safety during classes. Provide constructive feedback to students to help improve their technique and performance. Collaborate with other instructors or staff on special performances, recitals, or arts projects. Maintain a safe classroom environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during activities. Stay updated on current dance trends, teaching methods, and theater practices to continually improve instructional quality. Experience Proven experience working with children in an educational or performance setting. Strong background in dance instruction across multiple styles. Theater experience is highly desirable to incorporate theatrical elements into lessons effectively. Experience teaching visual & performing arts, with the ability to integrate these disciplines into dance education. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds. Ability to create a fun, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages artistic expression.
Pay:
$25.00 - $50.00 per hour
