The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching children and teens, knowledgeable in acro technique and safe progression training, and able to create a positive, encouraging classroom environment. This role involves teaching acro classes that blend flexibility, strength, balance, limbering, tumbling, and dance technique. Key Responsibilities Teach Acrobatic Arts classes for students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and lead safe, structured lesson plans following age-appropriate progressions Instruct students in flexibility, balance, strength, tumbling, and acro technique Ensure proper spotting and injury prevention practices are followed at all times Communicate professionally with parents, students, and studio staff Maintain attendance records and class organization Assist with studio events, rehearsals, showcases, and competitions Uphold studio policies and maintain a positive team-oriented atmosphere Qualifications Previous experience teaching acro, gymnastics, tumbling, or dance acrobatics Acrobatic Arts certification required (or willingness to obtain) Strong knowledge of safe acro progressions and technique Experience working with children and teens in a group setting Excellent communication and classroom management skills CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain) Reliable, energetic, and professional demeanor Preferred Skills Background in dance styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, or ballet Ability to teach multiple levels from beginner through advanced Passion for mentoring young dancers and building student confidence Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate acro skills and spotting techniques Ability to stand, move, and assist students during classes for extended periods Ability to lift or support students safely when necessary Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications Professional development opportunities Flexible scheduling Positive and supportive studio culture
