Part-Time Dance Instructor:

Contemporary and Drill Team Prep Chrissy Rae's Dance Academy is seeking a reliable, energetic dance instructor to join our 2026-2027 teaching staff in Schertz, Texas. This position is ideal for someone experienced in contemporary dance and drill team preparation who enjoys encouraging dancers of different ages and skill levels.

Weekly Teaching Schedule:

Tuesday Drill Team Prep B:

7:45-8:45 PM Thursday Contemporary 2: 5:00-6:00 PM Contemporary 1: 6:00-7:00

PM Beginner Teen Dance:

7:00-8:00

PM Total:

Approximately four teaching hours per week. Applicants must be consistently available for both Tuesday and Thursday classes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons Create choreography for recital performances Help dancers build technique, confidence, musicality, and performance quality Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment Communicate professionally with studio leadership, dancers, and families Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes Support studio events, rehearsals, and performances as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous dance teaching, coaching, or performance experience Strong background in contemporary dance and drill team technique Experience working with children and teenagers Dependable, organized, enthusiastic, and comfortable managing a classroom Ability to create clean, age-appropriate choreography Strong communication and leadership skills

Pay:

$15 per teaching hour
