Hughes Landing STE 400, The Woodlands, TX 77381, from October 1, 2026 to June 15, 2027.
Teach private and group lessons throughout the day across multiple dance styles. Build and
maintain a personal student roster, tracking individual progress and goals. Compete alongside
students in the Pro Am division at regional and national events. Create and perform in showcase
productions, including original choreography. Design customized lesson plans tailored to each
student's ability and ambitions. Represent the Fred Astaire brand with professionalism, energy,
and artistry. Participate in studio events, recitals, and promotional activities.
Job Requirements
No prior education is needed; however, 3 months of experience is required. On-the-job training
will be provided. Some weekend work required. Proficiency in Ballroom, Latin, Contemporary,
and Lyrical styles. Prior competitive or professional dance experience preferred. Strong
choreographic ability and performance presence. Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students at all levels. Flexible availability including
evenings. Passion for sharing the art of dance with a diverse student community.
Salary/Wages/Benefits
$27.00 an hour bi-weekly, or approximately 40 hours per week, up to 10 overtime hours may be
offered, however are not guaranteed. From Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Applicants
may be offered more than advertised. The wage rate may vary based on experience and/or merit.
Up to 10 overtime hours may be offered, however are not guaranteed. $40.50/hr for overtime. All
deductions from the workers paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a
single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay bi-weekly by check. Any
advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee.
The Employer may make employer-provided housing available to workers who voluntarily elect
to utilize such housing. Any deductions for housing or utilities will be limited to the reasonable
fair market value, will comply with all applicable federal and state laws (cost TBD). Optional
daily transportation will be provided from and to the worksite.
In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary,
lodging) to the place of employment will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker
completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for
transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon
completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will
provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back
home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not
return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has
appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of
transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable
common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to
the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $16.78/day to a maximum of
$68.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas,
visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the
government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers without charge or deposit
charge for all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
