About Us Studio B Dance Company is a positive, community-centered dance studio dedicated to helping students grow in confidence, technique, creativity, and character. We strive to provide high-quality dance education in a supportive and encouraging environment where students, families, and instructors feel valued and connected. We are currently seeking a mature, reliable, and professional Dance Instructor to join our faculty. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about dance education, enjoys working with children and teens, and is interested in becoming a long-term member of a growing studio community. Position Overview This is a year-round teaching position with the expectation of a minimum one-year commitment. We are seeking instructors who value professionalism, accountability, consistency, and building lasting relationships with students and families. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, positive, and committed to providing a high-quality classroom experience. Responsibilities Teach weekly dance classes in assigned styles and age groups Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and technically sound lessons Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment Demonstrate strong classroom management and professionalism at all times Prepare students for performances, showcases, competitions, and studio events as assigned Choreograph routines as assigned Communicate professionally with students, families, studio leadership, and fellow instructors Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled classes, rehearsals, and meetings Attend staff meetings, rehearsals, and studio functions as required Uphold studio policies, expectations, and culture Serve as a positive role model for students both inside and outside the classroom Qualifications Strong technical background in one or more dance styles required Previous dance teaching experience preferred but not required Professional, dependable, and organized Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive leadership abilities and confidence working with students of varying ages and skill levels Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment Commitment to continued growth as an instructor and educator Preferred Qualifications Prior studio teaching experience (not required, willing to train the right candidate) Experience working with recreational and/or competitive dancers Choreography experience Strong work ethic and professional demeanor Consistent attendance and punctuality Ability to represent the studio in a polished and professional manner What We're Looking For We are looking for instructors who are interested in more than just teaching a class. We value team members who want to invest in their students, contribute positively to our studio culture, and grow alongside our program. Compensation Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, teaching load, and assigned responsibilities. Additional teaching opportunities, choreography assignments, substitute teaching opportunities, and leadership responsibilities may become available based on performance and studio needs.
