Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance curricula that incorporate various styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop, ensuring alignment with educational standards and studio goals Manage classroom environments by implementing effective behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and creativity Lead dance classes for diverse age groups, from preschoolers to adults, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and skill levels Oversee choreography development for performances, recitals, and competitions, encouraging originality and technical proficiency Coordinate youth programs that integrate arts education with other creative disciplines like theater, music, photography, and sewing to foster well-rounded artistic development Supervise studio staff and instructors by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting ongoing professional growth in arts education Handle administrative tasks including scheduling classes, managing student enrollment, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health regulations Experience Proven experience working with children and adolescents in arts education settings, ideally within dance or performing arts studios Demonstrated expertise in teaching visual arts, performing arts, choreography, or dance instruction across multiple styles such as ballet or contemporary dance Strong background in curriculum development tailored to various age groups and skill levels Experience managing classroom environments with effective behavior management techniques and childhood development knowledge Familiarity with theater production processes and stage management is a plus Prior leadership experience in a studio or educational setting involving staff supervision and program coordination Skills in lesson planning for early childhood education or preschool-age students are advantageous Additional talents such as musical instrument proficiency, photography skills, culinary or sewing experience can enrich program offerings but are not mandatory Embark on this inspiring journey where your passion for dance meets your talent for leadership!
