The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children and adults. This role involves teaching various dance styles, developing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in nurturing students' love for dance while promoting their physical and emotional development. Responsibilities Teach dance classes to children and students of varying skill levels, ensuring that lessons are engaging and tailored to individual needs. Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, focusing on technique, creativity, and performance skills. Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to express themselves through movement. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Collaborate with other instructors to create cohesive programs that enhance the overall dance experience for students. Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events to showcase student achievements. Maintain a safe and clean studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Utilize photography skills to capture class moments and performances for promotional purposes. Requirements Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or similar role, with a strong understanding of various dance styles. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and effective communication skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is preferred. Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development to create engaging educational experiences. Ability to sew costumes or assist with costume design is a plus. Background in theater or performing arts is advantageous but not required. A passion for teaching dance and inspiring the next generation of dancers is essential.
