We require our teachers to have a strong background in performing arts, great communication skills, and a commitment to our carefully crafted curriculum. Most of all, we want instructors that are invested in nurturing the big dreams of little dancers.
Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan weekly classes ahead, using the Tutu School curriculum and structure, while layering in creativity and variation by age division. Layer Tutu School playlists with intentional placement into class structure, based on tempo and activity Lead classes with enthusiasm, positivity, and patience Teach age-appropriate ballet skill and technique for each class division Teach recital choreography seasonally, and support recital events as scheduled Communicate regularly with management and attend periodic team meetings Onboard new students, assist with retail purchases, and additional on-site sales responsibilities as needed Optional responsibilities also available in sales, marketing, outreach, event planning, management and more, for interested and qualified candidates. Position Requirements:
Open availability for 2-3 shifts per week at minimum (10+ hours weekly), which may consist of a combination of days & evenings and/or weekdays & weekends. Must be passionate about working with children & toddlers Experience in any or all of the following: ballet, dance, performing arts, musical theater, and/or early childhood education. Strong communication and leadership skills. Demonstrated confidence, with the ability to communicate appropriately with children and parents, before, during, and after classes. Team collaboration for class coverage is required, participating in substitute or swap shifts when possible Must be willing to go through a background check.
