Active Development Priorities Scalable academic and operational systems Cross-functional accountability structures Collaborative leadership practices Student-centered service models Culture of operational excellence CC Prep seeks leaders who: thrive in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment are committed to developing scalable, well-functioning systems experienced in performance-based education passionate about leading a mission-driven institution focused on adult student success The Opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director/CEO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Academics and Training will play a central role in strengthening academic operations while helping build the systems, instructional practices, and organizational capacity necessary to support the Academy's continued growth. Provide strategic leadership for the Academy's academic and workforce development programs, driving instructional excellence, operational effectiveness, and improved learner outcomes. Lead the stabilization, continuous improvement, and scaling of academic programs through data-informed decision making, performance management, and process optimization. Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, academic scheduling, and the professional growth of instructional, learning support, assessment, and data management teams. Develop and implement strategies that improve learner persistence, credential attainment, completion rates, and successful transitions to higher education and meaningful employment. Partner with executive leadership to build sustainable systems, strengthen organizational capacity, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.'' Represent the Academy with OSSE, the DC Public Charter School Board, grant partners, and community stakeholders while cultivating partnerships that expand educational and workforce opportunities for adult learners. What You Bring You are an experienced educational leader who combines instructional expertise with thoughtful program management. You develop people, turn data into action, and design learning around the strengths and realities of adult students. Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; master's degree preferred Significant program-management experience, including responsibility for staff 5+ years of classroom experience and two years of instructional-leadership experience Experience in adult education, workforce development, or technical education Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills A deep commitment to access, equity, and the potential of every learner Why CC Prep?
