Job Goal:
Support district and campuses involved in Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT). Assist and build capacity with campus leadership teams and Region 4 program staff members through professional development, observation, coaching, and feedback. This assistance will improve student achievement and promote excellence in educational programs to meet and exceed state and federal accountability standards. Coach, model, and lead capacity-building for staff on LASO grant teams, and serve as the point of contact for all LASO grantmunication.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and work with LIFT District Coaches (DC) and Campus Coaches (CC) at each Education Service Center (ESC) or approved provider organization, build strong relationships with district leaders in order to drive instructional leadership and HQIM planning and implementation at the district level. 2. Support LIFT District Coaches and Campus Coaches responsible for working closely with the LIFT Leads (LLs) and to coach and/or coordinate to build and execute strategic district and campus-level plans for Instructional Leadership practices and High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) planning and implementation. 3. Develop LIFT District Coaches and Campus Coaches to exhibit strong content and program knowledge and experience, leveraging their own expertise and that of their larger team to support LEA leadership through in-person coaching sessions, professional development, and HQIM implementation support over the grant period. 4. Work with LIFT District Coaches and Campus Coaches to coordinate program support for the campuses in LIFT and the execution of their shared grant activities and manage the fidelity of implementation as well. 5. Provide LIFT support as a key member of the department team and demonstrate proactivemunication among area district/charters, other regional service centers, and the Texas Education Agency regarding assigned grant initiatives. Champion the Region 4 philosophy of assigned grant initiatives both internally and externally. 6. Lead and support identified campuses with the development, implementation, and monitoring of all deliverables & key oues identified through assigned grant initiatives. 7. Lead, develop, and monitor strategies of all assigned grant initiative metrics identified by the Texas Education Agency to ensure the service center meets and/or exceeds targeted metrics. 8. Collaborate with department team members to develop, plan, implement, and present effective professional learning, products, and services in the areas assigned, and grant initiatives for campus and district leadership to improve student oues. 9. Develop, present, and facilitate professional learning sessions, series, convenings, and conferences related to grant initiatives, instructional leadership, and/or leadership development. 10. Develop, present, and facilitate effective professional development related to grant initiatives to support instructional leadership within the department. 11. Continually monitor the progress of those educators being coached through the department initiatives. 12. Coach, model, and manage capacity building within the department as it relates to assigned grant initiatives, instructional leadership, and leadership development. 13. Engage in professional learning to maintain knowledge and skills in the area(s) of responsibility. 14. Set goals, develop, and meet timelines with a high degree of personal accountability. 15. Participate in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to monitor impact and adapt plans and services for the advancement of the service center's mission, vision, and goals. 16. Remain abreast of state and federal rules, regulations, and policies related to school improvement. 17. Participate in state-level functions related to areas(s) of responsibility. 18. Provide technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal grant Supervision/Personnel Management 1. In coordination with the cabinet members and department director, establish clear expectations, set goals, and provide regular feedback to promote accountability and performance improvement. 2. In coordination with the cabinet member and department director, manage team workloads and project timelines to ensure priorities are met and deliverables arepleted with high quality. 3. Supervise and support assigned staff, including onboarding, training, and performance management. 4. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace. 5. Ensurepliance with Region 4 policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education
  • Master's degree
  • Doctoral degree, preferred Certification 1.
Texas Educator Certificate 2. Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certificate 3. Executive Coach Texas Strategic Leadership 4. Effective District Framework Facilitator (If any of the following certifications are missing, they must be obtained by the next Region 4 delivery cycle.) 5. T-TESS and T-PESS Certification Experience 1. Five years of teaching experience in mathematics/reading, and/or any subject content 2. Two years of district-level leadership experience or Education Service Center experience 3. Five years of teaching experience in a traditional district/charter school Special Knowledge and Skills 1. Demonstrated success in leading major district/campus improvement initiatives 2. Broad knowledge of school leadership and administration 3. Broad-based knowledge of effective campus practices in instructional leadership, staff and student culture, well-supported teachers, high-quality curriculum, and data-driven instruction 4. Exemplary written and verbalmunication skills 5. Demonstrated skill in motivating and influencing others towards oues through the use of effective coaching 6. Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively to inform decision-making about necessary change 7. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage the implementation ofplex, multi-phase projects 8. Knowledge of best practices related to change management, including, but not limited to, those practices that can either impede or empower leadership 9. Exhibits a growth mindset and is open to receiving job-embedded coaching 10. Ability to lead projects and project teams, plan, develop, and execute all project goals 11. Ability to work flexible schedules based on the needs of the department and LEAs serviced
Salary Range:
$102,075 to $120,090 Per Year
