Classes are 1.5 hours each in the 1:30-4:30 PM time range, Mon-Fri at schools in the following areas: Burbank, Montrose/La Crescenta, Glendale, & Culver City. Each school is assigned a day of the week, so applicants should have availability to teach afterschool classes on at least two days of the week (Mon-Fri) for 9 class-rehearsals (per school), plus performance at a professional theatre in early December. Must have reliable transportation.

The main focus of Drama Maniacs is student-created productions (Fall Plays and Spring Musicals). We are looking for EXCITING, energetic, enthusiastic, and professional individuals who are passionate about teaching drama and improv to kids. Previous experience teaching and managing groups of children (up to 20 students per class - students do not audition) ages 5-12 required. Experience teaching and directing acting/improv/singing/dancing a plus. (Additional paid training provided.) Candidates must feel comfortable (and excited about) rehearsing and directing a partly student-created show with groups of elementary school aged children. We provide the shows, curriculum, and all teaching and performance materials (costumes, props, backdrops etc.) We are looking for teachers with excellent classroom management skills and DYNAMIC teaching personalities!!! $40.00/hr (PAY

$50 per 90-minute class plus $90 bonus [per school] for completing all classes in session.)
