In this role, you will design engaging curricula, lead diverse classes in dance, theater, music, and other performing arts disciplines, and create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and confidence. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant energy to their teaching, possess a strong background in various art forms, and have experience working with children, teens, and adults. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to nurture talent and cultivate a love for the arts within our community. Duties Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels across multiple performing arts disciplines such as ballet, theater, dance, and music. Lead engaging classes that promote technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence. Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive environment for all students. Incorporate curriculum development strategies to enhance learning experiences and artistic growth. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their techniques and performance skills. Organize performances, showcases, or recitals to give students opportunities to demonstrate their talents. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to support student progress and address individual needs. Requirements Proven experience in teaching performing arts such as hip hop, dancing, or music with classroom management skills. Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse age groups including early childhood education and preschool experience. Ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults in both educational and recreational settings. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment. Familiarity with childhood development principles and special education practices is preferred. Additional skills in photography, sewing, culinary arts (cooking), childcare, or theater are considered valuable assets. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels while fostering creativity and confidence.
