Hermosa Beach, CA Job Details Contract $22 - $25 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Driver's License Organizational skills Performing background checks Student engagement classroom management Full Job Description Established youth musical theater company seeks a qualified, self-motivated, energetic, responsible individual to join our Musical Theater Staff. Year round program serves approximately 45- 200 students ages 4-17. Students are beginner-intermediate level performers. This position is for 4 hours a week on Wednesday afternoons 1-5PM. There may be some Sunday afternoon hours as well. Students perform full scale musicals. Dance teacher will team with a Director, Music Director and Choreographer, and with support provided by teen volunteers. Help choreograph music numbers, teach choreography and dance performance techniques, encourage student performers and lead warm-ups. Job Requirements
  • Strong dance skills (musical theater/ballet/tap/jazz)
  • Classroom management experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (This position will include direct interaction with the public).
  • Good organization skills and demonstrated ability to work well both as a team member and autonomously
  • Possess a valid California Driver's License and have a good driving record
  • Live scan background check required as a condition of contract
