NOW HIRING PERFORMING ARTISTS
Join The Green Room's Expanding Team The Green Room is growing, and we're looking for passionate Theater Directors , Choreographers , and Musical Theatre Teachers to join our creative, child-centered team. We specialize in theater, dance, and music education for young performers and are seeking energetic and collaborative teaching artists who love working with kids. All positions are part-time and take place after school , with flexible weekday scheduling.
CURRENT OPENINGS
Choreographers 90-minute youth musical productions
Locations:
Los Altos, Saratoga, Mountain View Start Date:
August 2025 or December 2025 Part-time, after-school hours Musical Theatre Teachers (After-school classes)
Locations:
Elementary and middle schools in
Saratoga, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, San Mateo, Hillsborough and Sunnyvale Schedule:
Monday-Friday (
Flexible:
1 to 4 days/week)
Start Date:
August 2025 Part-time, after-school hours
QUALIFICATIONS
Choreographers Experience working with children (Grades K-5 or 6-8) Strong dance background with the ability to choreograph for groups of 20+ students with varying skill levels Confident classroom management and ability to create a positive, engaging environment Clear and professional communication with parents and school staff Reliability and commitment to scheduled rehearsals, tech week, and performances Ability to work collaboratively with fellow teaching artists Reliable transportation to travel between Bay Area locations Musical Theatre Teachers Experience working with children (Grades K-5 or 6-8) Background in theater, dance, or music Ability to foster a safe, creative, and supportive learning space Excellent communication with students, parents, and school staff Organized and prepared with lesson planning Must have a vehicle and be willing to travel to local school sites
COMPENSATION
$40.00 - $100.00 per hour , depending on experience We are growing each year and welcome candidates who are interested in expanding their role within the company. Whether you're available one day a week or several, we'd love to connect.
