401k for eligible employees We are primarily looking for fun and talented Martial Arts teachers that love working with kids to join our team! All martial arts are welcome, some of our most popular martial arts classes are; Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Aikido, Muay Thai and MMA.
Martial Arts Instructor Position:
As a Instructor with After School Music Academy, you will be- Leading Martial Arts after school classes at elementary, middle and high schools. Planning classes by assessing the needs of the schools and students you're assigned. Implementing fun and creative activities in order to make learning enjoyable for the students. Organizing a performance showcase at the end of a session or semester.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, you must have- Teaching experience with kids in a group setting Proficiency in a form of Martial Arts, experience with no contact martial arts instruction and martial arts choreography is favorable Reliable transportation Uninterrupted and on-time availability for teaching hours An ability to teach the fundamentals of Martial Arts A willingness to learn and grow, and flexibility to adapt to new changes Functional problem solving abilities Good classroom management skills A clear background check. A Live Scan(fingerprinting) and Tuberculosis test is required for this position Additional Information Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between school sites 401(k) available for eligible employees after meeting plan requirements Physical Demands The Martial Arts Instructor is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, sit, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another, use their hands and fingers to handle or feel, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision. Ability to operate musical instruments, a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports is required. Exposure to glare from a computer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift 25lbs. and travel via automobile. Work Environment The work environment will usually be in a school environment, with possible shared workspace. The noise level is usually moderate to noisy. When traveling, the environment may change dependent upon the site visiting.
