Theatre Instructor for Youth Class Athena Coding - 4.3 San Carlos, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Contract $50 - $60 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork High school diploma or GED Experience working with children Experience working with middle schoolers Working with students Full Job Description Theatre Instructor - Grades 6-8 Wednesdays, 8:00-9:30 AM | $75/class Round 1: September 2-October 14 Curriculum and materials provided https://athenacoding.com/ Athena Coding is a premier enrichment education company looking for an enthusiastic Theatre Instructor to lead an engaging weekly class for students in grades 6-8 . This class meets Wednesdays from 8:00-9:30 AM , with instructors earning $75 per class . Round 1 runs from September 2 through October 14 . All curriculum, lesson materials, and training needed to teach the class will be provided in advance, along with both in-person and remote support. Theatre classes will give students opportunities to build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork through acting exercises, improvisation, character development, scene work, and other age-appropriate theatre activities.

Responsibilities:

Manage a classroom of approximately 5-20 students while making sure they are safe, engaged, and having fun Facilitate theatre lessons, games, exercises, and creative activities Encourage students to participate, collaborate, and express themselves Create a positive and supportive classroom environment We're looking for someone with: An upbeat, empathetic, and energetic personality A passion for working with children and young teens At least a high school diploma Some experience with theatre, acting, improv, drama education, directing, or performing arts Comfort leading groups and encouraging students with a range of experience levels We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
