Assistant Performing Arts Instructor

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and high-energy Assistant Performing Arts Instructor to support structured weeklong theater and improv camps for children ages 4.5-11. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, takes direction well, and can help maintain a positive, organized, and engaging environment. The Assistant Instructor will support both theater and improv sections, helping execute the program and guide students toward a final performance for the specific program at the end of each week. Camps take place at different locations across different cities, requiring adaptability and reliability. Duties Assist in daily theater sessions focused on acting, expression, and stage presence Support daily improv sessions that build confidence, creativity, and quick thinking Help maintain classroom control and keep students engaged Reinforce instructions and assist students during activities and exercises Support the lead instructor in delivering structured lesson plans Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive environment Assist in preparing students for the final showcase performance Help with setup, transitions, and overall camp flow Qualifications Experience working with children in any capacity (camp, tutoring, childcare, etc.) Interest in theater, improv, or performing arts Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to take direction and stay proactive throughout the day High energy and willingness to engage with students Reliable and comfortable working at different camp locations if needed Positive attitude and ability to support a structured environment Join us in creating inspiring artistic experiences that empower students to discover their talents!
