Job Description We are seeking a passionate, student-centered IBDP Visual Arts Teacher to join our team. In this role, the teacher will inspire high school students to explore their unique artistic voices while navigating the rigorous framework of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ideal candidate has a strong background in contemporary studio practices, a deep understanding of inquiry-based learning, and a proven track record of guiding students through Standard Level (SL) art portfolios. Key Responsibilities 

Curriculum Delivery:

Design and implement concept-driven, inquiry-based visual arts lessons aligned with the IBDP framework for SL students. 

Assessment and Moderation:

Formatively and summatively assess student work using IB criteria. Guide students through the successful completion of core components, including the Process Portfolio, Comparative Study, and Final Exhibition. 

Studio and Gallery Management:

Maintain a safe, collaborative, and organized studio space. Order and manage traditional and digital art resources. Coordinate, curate, and mount the annual IBDP graduation art exhibition. 

Mentorship:

Act as an advisor or supervisor for Visual Arts Extended Essays (EE) and support CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) initiatives where applicable. 

Collaboration:

Actively participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and cross-curricular planning to foster a vibrant school arts culture. Requirements & Qualifications 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in fine arts, Visual Arts, or Art Education required; (master's degree or relevant MFA highly preferred). 

Licensure:

Valid teaching credential, certificate, or license specializing in secondary art education. 

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching high school visual arts, preferably within an international school setting or using the IB framework. 

IB Training:

Official IB Category 1 or 2 training certificate in Visual Arts is a strong asset. 

Technical Skills:

Proficiency across diverse traditional mediums, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking, as well as digital media such as photography, graphic design, and digital portfolios.
